We are now heading to the 52nd game of the IPL 2026, as the crucial Rajasthan Royals vs Gujarat Titans (RR vs GT) match has been scheduled for Saturday evening (May 9). Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur is hosting its third game of the season, while both RR and GT are playing their 11th match of the season. It is their second meeting of this season.
The inaugural IPL champions (2008) Rajasthan Royals are in fourth position in the IPL 2026 points table with 12 points after six wins and four losses. RR started strongly this season with four successive wins, but they won only twice in their last five fixture.
On the other hand, Gujarat Titans have also 12 points after 10 matches, as the IPL 2022 champions have won six games and lost four matches. After some tough results in early mid-season, GT are now in strong form, as they have won all their last three games.

It is their second meeting of the season. Ahmedabad hosted their first meeting on April 4 during the ninth game of the season. While Royals scored 210/6 in 20 overs, Titans were restricted to 204/8 in 20 overs, as RR won that match by six runs.

Rajasthan Royals' stand-in captain Yashsavi Jaiswal won the toss and chose to field first. Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill also confirmed that he would choose to bowl first after winning the toss.
