The BCCI hasn’t officially confirmed the dates yet, but the IPL 2026 mini-auction is expected to take place from December 13 to 15, 2025, most likely in India.

This highly anticipated IPL player auction follows the previous editions held overseas in Dubai in 2024 and Jeddah in 2025 to simplify travel and team coordination.

All IPL franchises must submit their list of retained and released players by November 15. Afterwards, the BCCI will finalise the complete list of registered players who will enter the IPL 2026 auction pool.

Indian Players Must be registered with a state cricket team. Must have played at least one first-class or List A match. U-19 players must have played senior matches too. No strict age limit. Players under 16 usually aren’t allowed unless they’ve played senior cricket.
Overseas Players Must be from countries other than Pakistan. Must have played at least one first-class or List A match. Need a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their cricket board.
How to Register Fill the IPL registration form online. Your board checks your eligibility and sends it to IPL. BCCI makes a list of registered players. Only shortlisted players go into the final auction pool.
