IPL 2026: Yashasvi Jaiswal, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi take Trent Boult apart for 22-run over in RR vs MI clash
Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi unleashed a stunning assault on Trent Boult, smashing 22 runs in a single over during the RR vs MI clash in IPL 2026.

Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi have wreaked havoc on the Mumbai Indians (MI) bowlers today in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026. At the Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati, the Rajasthan Royals (RR) openers attacked the MI bowlers from the very first ball, and no one was ready for what happened after that.
Before the match started, it was delayed due to constant rain in Guwahati. However, as the sky cleared, the game started late, along with the toss. MI captain Hardik Pandya won the toss and decided to bowl first, which was the right decision to make, considering the weather conditions. However, he wouldn't have expected the batting the RR openers did today.
Sooryavanshi, Jaiswal's attack on MI bowlers stun crowd
Known for their attacking gameplay, both Jaiswal and Sooryavanshi played an incredible innings today. With the game reduced to 11 overs per side due to rain, Jaiswal knew the importance of the match. Hence, he started with a boundary off Deepak Chahar on the very first ball. This boundary was followed by a six. In that over, Jaiswal hit Chahar for 22 runs, including four boundaries and a six.
Sooryavanshi didn't shy away either and smashed Jasprit Bumrah for two huge sixes in the next over. The crowd was stunned by the way both players batted. However, the 15-year-old batter was dismissed by Shardul Thakur on 39 off 14 balls, including one boundary and five sixes. He proved why he is called a young prodigy as he hit Bumrah for multiple sixes in the game.
Meanwhile, Jaiswal slammed a half-century in just 23 balls, including six boundaries and three sixes. With the way he batted today, if he continues to perform, he is likely to get a call from the selectors for the T20I squad.
Brief Scores: (at the time of writing)- RR 103/2 (Yashasvi Jaiswal 52*, A Ghazanfar 1/9) vs MI
