In a break from the intense IPL 2026 schedule, Rinku Singh and several Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) players were seen enjoying a live concert by popular Punjabi singer Karan Aujla in Kolkata. The players attended the high-energy event to relax and unwind amid the busy tournament.

Videos and photos from the concert quickly spread on social media, showing the players enjoying the music and lively atmosphere. Fans were excited to see their favourite cricketers in a different setting, away from the cricket field.

However, the outing also sparked mixed reactions online, especially as it came after KKR’s recent losses in the tournament. While some fans questioned the timing, others supported the players, saying they deserve time to relax during a long season.

Take a look at that post:

KKR players spotted at Karan Aujla concert during poor run

Kolkata Knight Riders players were seen enjoying some free time at a concert by Punjabi singer Karan Aujla in Kolkata. Players like Rinku Singh, Manish Pandey, Navdeep Saini, and Saurabh Dubey were spotted at the Aquatica Grounds. They attended the event to relax during the busy IPL 2026 season.

However, many fans were not happy with this. The team has not started the season well, losing two matches in a row against the Mumbai Indians and the Sunrisers Hyderabad. Because of this, fans felt the players should focus more on their performance.

The moment became viral after a photo was shared on Instagram, showing the players smiling and enjoying the concert. While taking a break is important during a long season, many fans still criticised the timing of the outing due to KKR’s recent results.

Team’s struggles continue in IPL 2026 campaign

Kolkata Knight Riders’ difficult start to IPL 2026 continued as they suffered a heavy 65-run defeat against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Thursday. Earlier, they had also lost to the Mumbai Indians, with their bowlers conceding more than 220 runs in both matches. This has marked KKR’s worst start to an IPL season in the last 14 years.

The last time KKR began a season with two losses was in 2012 under the captaincy of Gautam Gambhir. That year, they lost to Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals in their opening games. However, the team recovered strongly, finished second in the points table, and went on to win the title by defeating Chennai Super Kings in the final.

Now led by Ajinkya Rahane, KKR will look to improve their performance in the coming matches. The team will aim to register their first win soon and bring their campaign back on track.

Fans react angrily to off-field appearance amid losses

Many fans were not happy with the players’ appearance at the concert, especially after Kolkata’s poor start to the season. The team has lost its first two matches, and this made fans question their focus. One fan wrote, “No shame at all, with zero performance.” Another said the players were not taking the game seriously after back-to-back losses.

Some fans also shared stronger reactions online. One user wrote, “Ye log se cricket nahi hoga,” showing frustration with the team’s performance. Others pointed out that the players should focus more on improving results instead of attending events during a tough phase.

A few fans also compared the current team with the past under former captain Gautam Gambhir. One user said that during his time, players celebrated only after success and worked hard towards winning the trophy. These reactions show that fans expect better performance and more focus from the team.
