A fun moment in the IND vs NZ T20 World Cup 2026 final as Ishan Kishan mimics bowling after the crowd chants “Ishan ko bowling do.”

The Indian team are now the World Champions after winning the T20 World Cup 2026 against New Zealand on March 8 in Ahmedabad. The Men in Blue defended their title and became the only team to do so in the tournament's history. During the game, an interesting incident happened where the crowd started chanting 'Ishan ko bowling do' while Ishan Kishan was fielding near the boundary line.
Kishan, who scored 54 runs in the first innings, took two splendid catches in the second and was quite active in the field. On hearing the crowd's chant, Kishan immediately asked Captain Suryakumar Yadav if he could bowl and ended up mimicking a funny bowling action to entertain the crowd. The left-handed batter finished his campaign with 319 runs in nine innings at an average of 35.
His comeback in the Indian team after two years was nothing short of historic. The selectors made a bold decision to remove Shubman Gill from the squad and went ahead with Kishan. After spending two years and two months out of the squad, Kishan made a memorable comeback into the T20I team. He made his comeback in the New Zealand series.

I spent two years out of team: Ishan Kishan
Ishan Kishan and Abhishek Sharma attended the post-match press conference, where the duo made the reporters laugh. When asked about how they dealt with struggle, Abhishek stated that he was the best person to answer the question since he struggled hard to collect runs. But Kishan jumped in and reminded him that he hadn't been on the team for two years.
"I can also answer that. You were in bad form for a month, I spent two years out of team," said Ishan Kishan during the press conference.
Abhishek scored three back-to-back ducks in the T20 World Cup but eventually bashed a half-century in the final game against New Zealand. It was an important innings since he gave a good start to the match and India went on to set a mammoth total.
