In the low-scoring contest, England beat the hosts Sri Lanka to win the three-match T20I series by 3-0 on Tuesday night (February 3), where Jacob Bethell became a hero with his stunning four wickets in late of the match.

Already securing the series leading it by 2-0, England chose to bat first and scored 128/9 in 20 overs. In reply, England bowled out the hosts for 116 runs in 19.3 overs and won the match by 12 runs.

Sri Lankan bowlers were taking regular wickets, as England innings were hardly stabilized. There was only one 20+ partnership in that innings as Liam Dawson and Sam Curran had a 47-run partnership for the seventh wicket. Opener Jos Buttler scored 25 runs, while Sam Curran scored 58 off 48 balls with six fours and one six, and Liam Dawson (14) was their only other batter to manage the double-digit score.

Among the Lankan bowlers, Dushmantha Chameera claimed a five-wicket haul, as he had the bowling figures of 4-0-24-5, which also became the new best T20I bowling figures record by a pacer against England.
