WATCH: Jasprit Bumrah castles Joe Root after scoring century in ENG vs IND 3rd Test

When Jasprit Bumrah finds his rhythm, it turns into a nightmare for the opposition batters. England started Day 2 of the ongoing 3rd England vs India (ENG vs IND 3rd Test) Test of the 5-match series at Lord's with a hundred from Joe Root.

Root completed his record-breaking hundred playing a push against Bumrah. A 37th Test hundred by the classical middle-order batsman from England was like a statement from the team who lost the openers on Day 1 cheaply. The home team fought against the bowling team with an unusual approach to their playing style. Unlike a direct take on the Bazball method, England opted to spend their time on the wicket with low strike rates.

England captain Ben Stokes and Root both played a slow innings on Day 1. It was expected that the home team could fire on all their cylinders on the next day, as both of their batters were well set on the crease. But Jasprit Bumrah has other plans. After clinching only one wicket on Day 1, the Indian pace spearhead created mayhem at Lord's cricket ground the following day.

A dream delivery for a fast bowler 

After scoring the record-creating Test ton, Root's happiness did not last too long because Bumrah uprooted the middle middle stump. He first took the off stump of Harry Brook, then bowled out Stokes, and after removing the England skipper, took the middle stump of Root—Bumrah was on fire. He also cleared the scalp of Chris Wokes from the middle. The home team lost their 3 men in only 11 runs.

The delivery  Bumrah produced to dismiss the centurion was absolutely a dream delivery for any fast bowler on the planet. Pitched on the line of the wicket, swung in and rattled the middle stump.
