In the crucial India vs Pakistan rivalry match in the Asia Cup 2025 group stage, India got a strong start by picking wickets in the first two overs. Jasprit Bumrah once again started with a storm by picking up a wicket in his first over of the match after Hardik Pandya took a great catch. 

Pakistan chose to bat first in their Group A match against India at Dubai on Sunday (September 14) evening. However, Pakistan lost their first two wickets in the first two overs, as the opener Saim Ayub was dismissed on the first legal delivery of the match, and wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Harris lost his wicket for only three runs. 

Hardik Pandya took the new ball as he delivered the first over and dismissed Ayub for a golden duck after delivering a wide on the very first ball of the match. Jasprit Bumrah took a comfortable catch at the point to send the opener back to the pavilion.

Asia Cup 2025 (Group A), India vs Pakistan: Hardik Pandya took great catch as Jasprit Bumrah took wicket on his second ball 

Jasprit Bumrah delivered the next over and picked up a wicket on his second ball of the match. After conceding one run on his first ball, Harris went for an aggressive shot against Bumrah’s back-of-the-length delivery that went high, and Pandya ran from fine leg to deep backward square to successfully take the brilliant catch. At that time, Pakistan were struggling at 6/2 in 1.2 overs, while Harris was out for only three runs.
