Another bad day in the office for West Indies cricketers. After lunch break, they lost all of their wickets for only 162 runs on the scoreboard. Jasprit Bumrah claimed three wickets in the process. The pace spearheaded took the wicket of well-settled Justin Greaves as well, which was very important for team India. To get rid of the batter, Bumrah introduced his trademark yorker.
From today (October 2, 2025), the India vs West Indies 2-match Test series has begun. The Indian bowling department was on top of their game throughout the first innings; the opposition team lost wicket after wicket in short intervals. The pace duo—Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj—again did the job precisely. Bumrah got 3, while Siraj bagged 4 wickets.
Bumrah took the scalps of John Campbell, Justin Greaves, and Johann Layne. The wicket of Greaves was important as the batter was well settled on the track and was heading towards a 50-run landmark. With four boundaries, he scored 32 off 48 balls. He was protecting the tail of his team.

Jasprit Bumrah hit the bulls eye
Guarding the leg and middle stump, Greaves only opened some space for the off stump against Jasprit Bumrah. Which was enough for the ace pacer to hit the bull's-eye. The right-hander locked his target on the uncovered off stump and unleashed a lethal yorker. The right-handed batter tried to halt the momentum of the ball, but he was completely outclassed by a too-good yorker from Bumrah. It was Bumrah's 49th Test wicket on home soil. Soon claimed the 50th as well. In the following over, he clinched the wicket of Layne and touched the landmark.
Greaves was the last hope for the West Indies. After his departure the Caribbeans added only 12 runs and concluded their innings for 162 runs in 44.1 overs.
