Jasprit Bumrah to miss a Test series? Tight schedule grows major concern

After playing 3 tests against England, Team India released Jasprit Bumrah from the squad. Now it is further reported that the pacer can miss the upcoming Asia Cup 2025, where India will participate as the defending champion.

Jasprit Bumrah's workload management is now one of the major concerns for the Indian team management. For that reason, he was released from the Anderson-Tendulkar trophy early, before the end of the series. The men in the blue brigade will have to participate in multiple tournaments in upcoming days, including the Asia Cup 2025.

Just after the Asia Cup, India will host the West Indies for a 2-match Test series. The Asia Cup, which will be played in Dubai and the UAE, is set to finish on September 29. Just a few days later, on October 2, India will begin a two-Test series against the West Indies in Ahmedabad, followed by the second match scheduled to be held in Delhi from October 10 to 14.

India will face South Africa in a high stake contest 

As of now, it is unlikely to see Jasprit Bumrah in both series back-to-back, especially because of the packed schedule. Within a short time, extra workload can invite serious injury threats. It is believed the ace pacer can skip one of these assignments.

Later, India will face South Africa in a Test series, which is more important in terms of the World Test Championship's points table (WTC Points Table). The first Test in South Africa is scheduled from November 14 to 18, followed by the second from November 22 to 26. The presence of Jasprit Bumrah in the high-stakes contest will be more valuable for Team India.
