Jasprit Bumrah also joined the trend with many other cricket fans on social media platforms. Bumrah trolled his pace bowling partner Mohammed Siraj through his latest Instagram post. Siraj, maintaining his sporting spirit, replied to the story in his Instagram story.
Bumrah and Siraj, the two fast bowlers of team India, bowled effectively against the West Indies in the first of the 2-match Test series. India won the match with ease. At the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, the Men in Blue brigade emerged victorious against the touring side by an innings and 140 runs. In the game, Siraj claimed another 5-wicket haul.
West Indies went to bat first in the first innings and scored only 162 runs. The pace duo of Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj snatched 7 wickets, 3 wickets for Bumrah and 4 for Siraj. In the second innings, the West Indian batting line-up again failed miserably, scoring only 146 runs against India's 448/5d. During the second phase of the game, Bumrah was without any wickets, but Siraj took 3 more scalps and completed a 5-wicket haul in the process.

What is the meaning of Bumrah's story?
It is a series of memes started by the Indian cricket fans. They used to say, 'Siraj original hai, baki sab fake hai (Siraj is the real deal, everything else is fake).' Whenever he bowled well, fans spammed "Baki sab fake hai" on Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube comments. As Siraj bowled well against the West Indies in the first test of the series, Bumrah also decided to contribute to the series of memes.
Siraj has been carrying this form since the Anderson-Tendulkar trophy against England, where he helped India to level the series by winning the 5th and last match of the tour. India went to play the series' decider Test at The Oval without Bumrah. At that moment, Siraj turned out as the wrecker-in-chief for the Shubman Gill-led side. The tireless pacer played all 5 matches in the series as well.
