Jasprit Bumrah is a top class fast bowler, and he went to Bengaluru to the National Cricket Academy (NCA). He needs some important doctor tests to see if he is  fit or not. The Selectors or Chief in charge of cricket in India, which is essentially the BCCI, are watching over all of this. The ICC Champions Trophy is going to start.

Whether Bumrah can play in it or not is going to be decided by what the doctors say after they look at all the tests. The team selectors are very eager to find out if he can play because they're trying to think through who the best 15 players are to be on the team for the ICC Champions Trophy .

Jasprit Bumrah's Fitness a Major Concern Ahead of Champions Trophy

Jasprit Bumrah Went to Bengaluru on Sunday. Bumrah will be there for about two or three days. Doctors at the NCA will look at him often. They'll tell Ajit Agarkar's team what the results are.

Last month, Agarkar had mentioned that Bumrah was advised to “off-load for five weeks” following the Sydney Test. He explained that a clearer picture of Bumrah’s fitness would emerge in early February. “Bumrah has been asked to rest for five weeks, which means he won’t be available for the first two ODIs against England. We’re waiting for an update from the medical team, and once we have clarity, BCCI might issue an official statement,” Agarkar said.

If Bumrah isn't all better to play, Harshit Rana might be allowed to play instead. Rana recently became a part of the team for the games against England. They will only decide if Bumrah gets to play after the doctor checks him.

Team India’s Preparations

Rohit Sharma and his teammates are getting ready to compete in the Big ICC Champions Trophy event. They will practice a bit in Nagpur first, before playing three games against England's team. After they play many games, on February 15, they will go on a plane to Dubai. They're going to stay in Dubai to play more games for the MajorICC Champions Trophy. If they do very well and win the games, they will play the very special last games, such as the Semi-Final and Final, in Dubai too.

With the tournament fast approaching, Bumrah’s fitness remains a key concern. The team and fans alike will be hoping for a positive update from the NCA in the coming days, as his presence could significantly booster for  India’s campaign.
