On June 27, 2025, 'Open' issued their 16th anniversary edition, where they listed multiple successful personalities from various fields. Jay Shah, in this edition, is labeled as the 'Master of the Game.' Jay Shah's career as a cricket board official started with the Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA). After being an executive board member of the Central Board of Cricket, Ahmedabad, starting in 2009, Shah became the joint secretary of the Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA) in September 2013.
From there, he marked his footprint in the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and then in the ICC. Shah has come a long way. In 2015, he became a member of the finance and marketing committees of BCCI. In 2019, he was elected as the secretary of BCCI, the youngest of the five office bearers. In January 2021 (ACC), the Asian Cricket Council appointed Shah as the president.
