Seattle Orcas win last-over thriller against Los Angeles Knight Riders in MLC 2025

In Match 20 of the 2025 Major League Cricket at Grand Prairie Stadium, Texas, Seattle Orcas beat Los Angeles Knight Riders by five wickets in an exciting finish. Seattle won the toss and chose to bowl first.

Seattle Orcas Batted first, the Knight Riders scored 202 runs for 4 wickets in 20 overs. Andre Russell was superb, hitting 65 runs from 39 balls. Rovman Powell added quick runs with 43 off 21 balls, and Saif Badar played well for 41 off 21 balls.
For Seattle, Waqar Salamkheil bowled tightly and took 2 wickets for 29 runs. Harmeet Singh was economical with 1/17, while Ayan Desai got a wicket but went for 54 runs in his 4 overs.

Chasing 203 to win, Seattle got there with one ball to spare, ending on 206/5 in 19.5 overs.
Aaron Jones scored 73 runs from 38 balls in crucial time. Shimron Hetmyer was also in great form, smashing 64 runs in 26 balls. Shayan Jahangir played a great knock of 43 runs in 31 balls. For Los Angeles, Jason Holder was the best bowler with 2 wickets conceding 36 runs. Tanveer Sangha took 2/39 and Andre Russell took one wicket conceding 29 runs.
