In Match 3 of The Hundred Women’s 2025 at Headingley, Northern Superchargers Women put on a great all-round show to defeat Welsh Fire Women by 47 runs. After winning the toss, Superchargers chose to bat first and did a solid job with both bat and ball.
Superchargers scored 141 runs in their 100 balls. Phoebe Litchfield batted beautifully and scored 43 from 30 balls. Captain Hollie Armitage also played a smart knock, staying not out on 34. Later, Annabel Sutherland hit 28 off 20 balls and Georgia Wareham finished the innings nicely with 29 not out from 17 balls. They gave their team a good score to defend.
Welsh Fire had a tough time chasing 142. They were all out for just 94 runs in 98 balls. Tammy Beaumont was the only batter who looked good, scoring 36 off 21 balls. But the rest of the team kept losing wickets, and they couldn’t build any partnerships.
The Superchargers’ bowlers were spot on. Georgia Wareham took 2 wickets for 14 runs, Linsey Smith got 2 for 9, and Grace Ballinger picked up 2 for 11. There were also two run-outs, which made things worse for Welsh Fire. In the end, it was an easy win for Superchargers, who looked better in all departments.
