In the second Semi-final of the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup 2025, while the hosts India Women got the mammoth target of 339 runs against the defending champions and seven-time winners Australia Women, Jemimah Rodrigues inspired the hosts to the record chase along with the skipper Harmanpreet Kaur.

Australia scored 338 all out

Australia Women won the toss and scored 338 all out in 49.5 overs, where Phoebe Litchfield smashed a 77-ball century and scored 119 runs off 93 balls with 17 fours and three sixes. Also, Ellyse Perry scored 77 off 88 balls, and Ashleigh Gardner scored 63 off 45 balls for that giant total.

Chasing down the target, the Indian openers provided some good starts but lost wickets before taking the chase in the grip. While Shafali Verma scored 10 runs off five balls on her WODI comeback, Smriti Mandhana scored a run-a-ball 24 runs. Under pressure, Jemimah Rodrigues and skipper Harmanpreet Kaur set up the 167-run partnership for the third wicket that made the match on for the hosts. While Kaur scored 89 off 88 balls, Jemimah continued her innings.

Jemimah got some good support from the middle-order batters Deepti Sharma (24 off 17 balls), Richa Ghosh (26 off 16 balls), and Amanjot Kaur (15 not out off eight balls), as India Women successfully chased the target in 48.3 overs after losing five wickets, as they chased down the target by five wickets.

Jemimah completed her memorable century in 115 balls, but there was no celebration from her as she was only targeting to guide the hosts to the Final by successfully chasing the record target in Women's ODI. Jemimah finally remained not out for 127 runs in 134 balls, where the right-handed batter hit 14 fours.
