Jitesh Sharma clarifies how the Indian team handle emotion in their big match against the arch-rivals Pakistan.

In a recent podcast, Indian wicketkeeper Jitesh Sharma revealed how India prepare before the match against Pakistan. India vs Pakistan is always known as the big rivalry in international cricket, as both teams' pride is at stake in the match.
The India-Pakistan international cricket battle has a long history, dating back to 1952. While Pakistan had a dominant history in the past India vs Pakistan matches, the Men in Blue are setting new dominant stories in recent decades.

Jitesh Sharma opens up on Team India’s strategy for high-pressure games
In a recent podcast with the famous Indian YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, Indian cricketer Jitesh Sharma accepted that there is always emotion during the match against Pakistan, as they have to control it for the game. However, when Ranveer asked him for pre-match preparation to handle it, the wicketkeeper-batter clarified that they didn't give much importance to the Pakistan team. The Indian cricketer further added that they don't take them to heart or mind.
What makes India vs Pakistan matches now a one-sided affair
India are dominating in their recent international cricket matches against Pakistan, as the Men in Blue are unbeaten against the Men in Green since October 2022, the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2022. In their last 10 international meetings, India won nine games, and the other one had a no-result. The last time Pakistan beat India was during the Men's T20 Asia Cup 2022 Super Four.
Since 2025, they have faced each other for five international games, four in T20Is (three in the Asia Cup and one in the T20 World Cup) and one in ODI (in the ICC Champions Trophy), where the Men in Blue won all these fixtures. Apart from the Asia Cup 2025 Final, which was a final-over thriller, India won all four other games very comfortably.
Fans react to Jitesh Sharma’s insights on rivalry preparations
While Jitesh Sharma comfortably replied about their preparation against Pakistan, fans have mixed reactions. Some fans enjoyed it, but some fans reminded him of the group stage defeat against Pakistan Shaheens in the Asia Cup Rising Stars 2025 last November, where Jitesh led the India A team. In that T20 group stage match, India A were all out for 136 runs, and their rivals chased down the target in 13.2 overs after losing only two wickets.
