SRH owner Kavya Maran and Anirudh Ravichander wedding rumours โ Cricket and Bollywood collide again
The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) owner, Kavya Maran, and musical composer, Anirudh Ravichander, have been rumored of wedding as cricket and Bollywood will collide again to grow social media buzz.

The renowned composer Anirudh Ravichander’s family appears to have settled informally, as questions have continued for over a year about whether he is set to marry the CEO of the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) from the Indian Premier League (IPL), Kavya Maran. Anirudh’s uncle, YG Mahendran, confirmed that the wedding is a sure thing.
It has reignited the speculation that has come and gone in waves since mid-2025. The veteran actor made the remarks during a recent interview on Kutty Padmini’s KPTV channel, where he was directly asked about the long-running rumours around his nephew.
What is the Kavya Maran-Anirudh Ravichander wedding rumour all about?
Mahendran called Anirudh a very soft boy and felt that it would head towards a very big wedding. He went on to praise Kavya as well, calling the two a very good pair. Despite his comments going viral, neither Anirudh Ravichander nor Kavya Maran has confirmed the relationship or any wedding plans.
“He’s a very soft boy. I would like to take this moment to congratulate him. He is heading towards a very big wedding. Based on what I’ve been told, it’s a sure thing. They are getting married.” YG Mahendran expressed this in that program.

This is not the first round of speculation. Such rumours surfaced in June 2025 after a social media post claimed that the two had been dating each other for over a year and had been planning to marry. On his X account (formerly known as Twitter), though, Ravichander asked everyone to stop spreading rumours.
Many in the public have curiosity around who Kavya is, given how much of her profile exists outside the entertainment world. She is the daughter of Kalanithi Maran, who is the billionaire chairman of Sun Group, which is one of India’s largest media conglomerates, and Kavery Maran, who is the CEO of Sun TV Network.

Kavya took charge as the CEO of the Hyderabad franchise in 2018, becoming one of the youngest executives to head an IPL side, and has expanded the brand internationally, taking the leadership of Sunrisers Eastern Cape in South Africa’s SA20, and, more recently, of Sunrisers Leeds in England’s The Hundred before 2026.
Kavya’s personal net worth is estimated between INR 400 and 500 crore, which draws largely from her executive role at Sun TV Network and her stake in the Sunrisers franchise network.
