Sanju Samson is in blistering form in the ongoing Kerala Cricket League (KCL 2025), ahead of the upcoming Asia Cup 2025. He hit another fifty-plus score on March 15 of KCL 2025 when Kochi Blue Tigers locked horns with Adani Trivandrum Royals (KBT vs ATR).

Against Trivandrum Royals, Samson scored 62 off 37, which is the highest individual score from KBT in the match. The opener smashed 4 boundaries and 5 over-boundaries during his solid innings. With the help of Samson's 62, Kochi Blue Tigers registered 191 runs for 5 wickets in the first innings of the game. It was Samson's second fifty-plus score after smashing a century in the campaign. He finds his rhythm right after going back to his original batting position. During the initial matches of the tournament, Sanju tried to fit in the middle order. But his experiments miserably went wrong. Then, he jumped to the opening position and started to collect runs in a flawless manner.

The Keeper-batter's unstoppable form began with a blazing 121-run innings in their third match of the tournament. He needed only 16 balls to complete his fifty and then touched the 100-run mark in 42 deliveries. In the next match, Samson concluded with a fiery 89 off 46, and today, he amassed a 62-run knock.

Sanju proving selectors right

The current form of Sanju Samson is proving BCCI selectors' choice to include him in the Asia Cup 2025 squad absolutely on point. Indian cricket fans are eager to see the prolific batter in the prestigious tournament, where India will be on the field to defend their title. Former India captain Ajinkya Rahane was also impressed to see a confident Sanju Samson.

"Shubman is back in the team; I’m sure he is most likely to open with Abhishek Sharma. Personally, I would like to see Sanju Samson in the team because he has done really well. He is a very confident guy, a very good team man, and that is very important," Rahane said.
