The 2025 season opener of the Kerala Cricket League (KCL) is set to see Aries Kollam Sailors (AKS) and Calicut Globstars (CG) square off on Thursday, August 21, at Greenfield International Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram. The Kollam side managed to establish dominance last season as they managed to win all their encounters against their main rival, while also finishing the league stage with a record of 8 wins out of 10 matches. Their consistency throughout the league was key in delivering their first title as they defeated Calicut in the final. The skipper Sachin Baby had an impressive 423 runs in 11 innings and will look to be that player once again this season.
