Watch: Match-fixing caught on camera in Pakistan Cricket again during domestic 50-over event

During the National Champions Cup 2026 contest between Pakistan Whites and Pakistan Gold, Khushdil Shah’s unusual way of being dismissed has sparked match-fixing allegations around Pakistan cricket once the video of his dismissal went viral on social media platforms.  

Before the fixture, Pakistan Greens remained unbeaten in the competition, having earned three victories in as many clashes at a net run rate of 2.180, while Pakistan Gold haven’t got a single win in their first two games of the tournament.

It was the third delivery of the 22nd over of the clash of the first innings when the left-arm spinner, Faisal Akram, bowled a beautiful delivery to Khusdil Shah, who looked to cut the short delivery into the point region but didn’t get the bat on it.

Khusdil lost his balance while playing the shot and got an under-edge on the surface as the ball bounced very near to the stumps. The left-handed batter seemed to have no idea of where the ball had gone. He looked behind and was out for a single.

Meanwhile, the wicket-keeper, Muhammad Akhlaq, was all aware of the entire situation. He caught the ball and broke the stumps to send back the batter for 12 runs off 23 balls. The southpaw looked absolutely dejected with his dismissal. He could have been more aware of the situation.  

Pakistan Whites collapse as Khushdil’s dismissal adds to batting woes

Pakistan White made a struggling start to their batting as they were reduced to 38/3 with the dismissal of Usman Khan on three runs. The three batters of the top four were dismissed for single figures. Hasan Nawaz played a fine knock of 55 runs off 74 balls at a strike rate of 74.32 with the help of three boundaries and two sixes as they were bundled out for 172 runs off 41.4 overs.

Shaheen Afridi finished with a fine figure of 3/26 in eight overs while Mubasir Khan and Faisal Akram picked up two wickets each in the innings.

In reply, Pakistan Gold completed the chase by five wickets with over 22 overs to spare. Haider Ali remained unbeaten on 69 runs off 48 balls at a strike rate of 143.75, thanks to seven boundaries and three sixes. Mohammad Wasim ended with 2/47 in eight overs.
