The IPL tournament is just 5 days away and every team is promoting their brands and accessories same as Kolkata has come out with an idea that would, excite the fans much more. Usually, Kolkata used to play with their purple jersey but this year they have made a significant change that would captivate the fans very much, it's a lost thing that is cumulated by the team.

Kolkata knight Riders has released their black golden jersey which was their earlier jersey brand. The golden and the black jersey was the identity of Kolkata that time which they changed later. Bringing back the old flavour decipts the fans have enjoyed every bit of it. Kolkata Journey has been evident to the monopoly where they won the trophy after 10 years of wait.

Kolkata Wait For Wholesome Trophy

Kolkata had to wait for a long period when they last won the trophy a decade ago. Kolkata won their first trophy in 2012 beating Chennai Super Kings and breaking their streak of winning the title for the third time. The second time they won the title in 2014 by beating Punjab Kings in the final 2014. It was Gautam Gambhir who was leading the team on both occasions and giving KKR the much-needed breakthrough. 

After that Kolkata reached till playoffs and somehow they reached in the final of 2021 where they faced Chennai Super Kings but this time it was not evident enough for them to beat Csk and the next year they were into playoffs but couldn't move above. Then in 2024 they once again reached the final against mighty SRH but this time Kolkata was determined to win the trophy under Shreyas Iyer's captaincy and they were successful in winning the trophy and it was the same man Gautam Gambhir who mentored the team. 

Kolkata New Dilema

Though KKR won the championship but there layed a small confusions between them and their captain Shreyas Iyer and he decided to move on where in this auction KKR bought Ajinkya Rahane for 1.5 crore and made him the captain stating his experience as valuable asset for the team. Now Kolkata has released their new Jersey's which are depicted into home and away, with the three starts embeded on it.
