The Lanka Premier League (LPL) is back for its fifth edition, kicking off on July 1, 2024. When will LPL 2024 be played?

The fifth edition of the Lanka Premier League will run from July 1 to July 21, 2024. This three-week period will be packed with intense cricket matches as five teams compete for the coveted title. The league stage will feature a total of 20 matches, followed by the high-stakes playoffs.

LPL 2024 format

The LPL 2024 follows a double round-robin format. This means that each of the five teams—B-Love Kandy, Colombo Strikers, Dambulla Sixers, Galle Marvels, and Jaffna Kings—will play against each other twice during the league stage, resulting in each team playing eight matches. The top four teams from the league stage will then advance to the playoffs, which consist of two semi-finals and a final.
