Virat Kohli retired from the T20Is in June 2024 and he announced his retirement from the Tests in April 2025. His last test match for the Indian team was during the Border Gavaskar Trophy in 2024-25. He is now seen playing only one format, which is ODI and most probably his upcoming game would be against Australia during the India's tour of Australia for ODI series. Recently Mohammed Siraj grabbed all the headlines for his impeccable performance against England.

He was the highest wicket taker in the series and was crucial in India, leveling the series in the final test match at the Oval. Siraj recently spoke about Virat Kohli and his impact on his game and he has said that he has learnt a lot from the legendary player. He added that he likes the aggression of Virat Kohli and that is something which is similar in his bowling as well, as his bowling comes from the aggression.

"I’ve learned one particular thing from Virat Kohli - that is his fighting approach in the game. Off the field, he would be talking very nicely, but on the ground, the opposition is the enemy for him. I like this thing about him & my bowling comes from aggression. If I do not show that on ground, I won’t be able bowl well,” Siraj told Rev Sportz.

“I have been with Virat Kohli in RCB and have had a good bonding with him. Fast bowlers should have aggression on field & Virat Kohli has more aggression on field than bowlers - I have also learned to take crowd support from Virat. Support of the crowd, for a bowler, can make a big difference and get the bowler flying with confidence,” he added
