The buzz and excitement of the Indian Premier League (IPL) have been incredible as the trade window has seen several emotional calls being taken by the respective franchises ahead of the retention window. The biggest one on the list was Ravindra Jadeja, who was traded to the Rajasthan Royals, along with the pace bowling all-rounder, Sam Curran.
Meanwhile, in the place of those two players, the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) earned the services of Sanju Samson, who could be a solution to many issues for the Yellow franchise, including the wicket-keeping, leading role, and the opening of an Indian batter or at number three. Jadeja’s league has been revised to INR 14 crore, while it remains INR 18 crore for Samson.
Mohammad Shami, who was bought by the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) for a price of INR 10 crore, has been traded to the Lucknow Super Giants for the same price ahead of the new season. The right-arm pacer, despite his marvelous success during the 2022 and 2023 seasons of the league for the Gujarat Titans, couldn’t do well last year for the Orange Army.
