The buzz and excitement of the Indian Premier League (IPL) have been incredible as the trade window has seen several emotional calls being taken by the respective franchises ahead of the retention window. The biggest one on the list was Ravindra Jadeja, who was traded to the Rajasthan Royals, along with the pace bowling all-rounder, Sam Curran.

Meanwhile, in the place of those two players, the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) earned the services of Sanju Samson, who could be a solution to many issues for the Yellow franchise, including the wicket-keeping, leading role, and the opening of an Indian batter or at number three. Jadeja’s league has been revised to INR 14 crore, while it remains INR 18 crore for Samson.

Mohammad Shami, who was bought by the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) for a price of INR 10 crore, has been traded to the Lucknow Super Giants for the same price ahead of the new season. The right-arm pacer, despite his marvelous success during the 2022 and 2023 seasons of the league for the Gujarat Titans, couldn’t do well last year for the Orange Army.

The leg spinner, Mayank Markande, will return to his old franchise, the Mumbai Indians, following the successful trade by the Kolkata Knight Riders for a price of INR 30 lakh. He began his IPL career with Mumbai and represented the side in 2018, 2019, and 2022. Mumbai, meanwhile, had a successful transfer of their bowling all-rounder, Arjun Tendulkar.

Arjun will now feature for the Lucknow Super Giants for a price of INR 30 lakh. The left-handed Indian batter, Nitish Rana, will play for the Delhi Capitals (DC), which will bring a different balance to the eleven. He will get INR 4.2 crore for the role and is a veteran of the competition.

On the other hand, Donovan Ferrira will return to his first IPL franchise, the Rajasthan Royals (RR), following the successful trade from the Royals. As per the agreement, his fee has been revised from INR 75 lakh to INR 1 crore.
