IPL 2026 is in controversy after the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) had a rough start in the new season at Lucknow, where the hosts suffered a six-wicket defeat against the Delhi Capitals (DC). At the end of the match, LSG skipper Rishabh Pant had an intense-level talk with team management, including head coach Justin Langer and the owner Sanjiv Goenka. While cricket fans haven't been impressed with this on-field scenario, the franchise has come up with a social media video to clarify the incident. 

The IPL 2026 has now entered unofficial round 2 after experiencing every team's season openers' performances. LSG disappointed in their tournament opener, which shouldn't be a big matter for any franchise. However, the intense-looking on-field discussion between the LSG skipper and team management has put low confidence in its viewers. While the former English captain  Michael Vaughan felt that it wasn't needed while they just played one game, IPL founder and first Chairman Lalit Modi personally attacked the LSG owner.

In reply to their criticism, LSG have brought a social media video to provide the experience of that discussion, which seemed very normal and friendly. The franchise has called that video "unfiltered post match vibes," as they have indirectly told the fans not to believe everything.

LSG skipper Pant now holds the record for the most expensive player in IPL auction history, while the franchise signed him during the IPL 2025 auction for INR 27 crore. However, the Indian wicketkeeper-batter hasn't impressed with his performances yet.
