Delhi Capitals (DC) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) clashed in Match 64 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, each eager to secure a vital win and reignite their dwindling playoff aspirations. However, chasing 209 runs for victory, LSG’s batting lineup faltered, with three of their top four batters dismissed for single-digit scores.

Nicolas Pooran’s knock of 61 runs, supported by all-rounder Arshad Khan’s impressive 58, provided some hope for LSG. Despite their efforts, the team fell short by 19 runs. Arshad Khan’s exceptional innings, comprising 58 runs off 33 balls with three fours and five towering sixes, was a highlight. David Warner was omitted, while Gulbadin Naib made a comeback for DC.
