How long will Suryakumar Yadav's poor form continue for Team India? Indian cricket fans are now disgraced by the downfall of the skipper of Team India's T20I leader, who was once considered one of the most fierce batters in the format in world cricket.

Today (December 11), Yadav was dismissed for only 5 runs. If we monitor the stats of the batter in the last 20 T20I games, Suryakumar scored a total of only 227 runs at an average of 13.35 and a strike rate of 119.47.

Ahead of the T20I World Cup, the batting stats of Suryakumar Yadav are truly horrifying for Indian cricket fans. In New Chandigarh, Team India was struggling in front of a massive target of 214. South Africa went to bat first and scored 213 runs in the first innings. It was India who won the toss and decided to field first. The decision was probably influenced by the 'dew' factor.

Quinton de Kock (90) and other Protean batters proved in the first innings that the surface was good enough for making big shots. Apart from Tilak Varma, other Indian batters found it hard to deal with the opposition bowlers. After the quick departures of the openers – Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill – it was Yadav's duty to carry on the innings. Instead of doing that, he fell cheaply against Marco Jansen. Eventually, India lost the match by 51 runs. After a couple of matches, the 5-match T20I series is now level at 1-1.

Suryakumar Yadav's batting stats in the last 20 T20Is:

21 (17), 4 (9), 1 (4), 0 (3), 12 (7), 14 (7), 0 (4), 2 (3), 7* (2), 47* (37), 0 (3), 5 (11), 12 (13), 1 (5), 39* (24), 1 (4), 24 (11), 20 (10), 12 (11), 5 (4).

Total - 227 runs.

Batting Average – 13.35.

Strike Rate – 119.47.
