Major injury update of Rishabh Pant ahead of home Test series against West Indies revealed
The recent reports have revealed the major update on Rishabh Pant, the Indian wicket-keeper's foot injury that he picked up during the fourth Test of the five-match series against England at the Old Trafford in Manchester.

Rishabh Pant had a tough time in England during the five-match Test series with several injuries, as he picked up a finger injury while keeping wickets during the third encounter at Lord’s. He was replaced by the substitute, Dhruv Jurel, before the southpaw got ruled out of the fifth and final game at the Kennington Oval after he picked up a foot injury during the fourth game in Manchester.
While the details of his assessment after consulting with the specialist are still unknown, it’s revealed that India's wicket-keeper batter will start his rehab at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru from next week. For Pant, the aim is to get fit for the upcoming two-match Test series against the West Indies and stay in a good position to get selected for the Australia trip.
It has been reported that Pant spent the last few days in Mumbai to consult medical experts, having flown directly from England. Doctors in the city checked his progress on the injured foot, which is still strapped. But he seems to have developed his moving activities.

The wicket-keeper batter, who has smashed 3427 runs in 82 innings of the longest format at an average of 44.50 with 18 fifties and eight centuries, collected 134 and 118 during the opening Leeds Test of the England trip. He had been posting his updates on the injury.
“Just want to tell you one thing, which I understand is that it doesn't matter how much pain you endured in the past, if you get hurt again, it pains the same for sure, just the threshold goes up, and you know the process to keep pushing yourself. So being positive is massive, motivating yourself works a lot. Keep trusting yourself and keep working in the direction you want to take your life because what doesn't kill you makes you stronger eventually.” One of Pant’s posts read.
The 27-year-old will look to gain full fitness ahead of the home season. After the West Indies series, the Blue Brigade will face South Africa. In case he doesn’t get fit for the Caribbean series, a game for Delhi in the Ranji Trophy could be a possibility of returning to full fitness.
