In response, Mumbai Indians opener Rohit Sharma and Ricky Ponting shared a 116-run partnership in 11.5 overs for the first wicket. Ricky Ponting played an innings of 61 runs in 38 balls with the help of 7 fours and three sixes. Rohit Sharma scored 53 runs in 36 balls with the help of nine fours. Apart from these two, Suryakumar Yadav scored 48 runs in 23 balls with the help of four fours and three sixes and captain Hardik Pandya also played an innings of 48 runs in 23 balls. Mahesh Tikshan and Riyan Parag got one success each from the Rajasthan Royals team.

Rajasthan Royals team, which came out to chase the target of 218 runs given by Mumbai Indians, had a very bad start. After that Yashasvi Jaiswal also got clean bowled on the ball of Bolt after scoring 13 runs in 6 balls. Nitish Rana could score only 9 runs in 11 balls.

While captain Riyan Parag scored 16 runs in 8 balls. Dhruv Jurel played an innings of 11 runs in 11 balls. Shubham Dubey scored 15 runs in 9 balls. Jofra Archer scored the most runs for the Rajasthan Royals team, he played an innings of 30 runs. For the Mumbai Indians team, Bolt and Bumrah took 2-2 wickets in this match. On the other hand, Karan Sharma took three wickets for 23 runs in four overs.
