In the 2025 Major League Cricket (MLC) Match 23, Texas Super Kings played against Washington Freedom at the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground, Lauderhill. Washington Freedom won the toss and decided to bowl first. The start was delayed due to constant rain, shortening the match into a 5-over-per-side match with a 2-over power play, and at least three bowlers must achieve the innings. Even though the game was shortened, Texas capitalized on their chance and clinched a runaway victory.

Washington Freedom Innings

In response, Washington Freedom failed to match the required run rate and were restricted to 44/4 in their 5 overs. Glenn Phillips top-scored with 18 off 11 balls, followed by Rachin Ravindra (10 off 4) and Mitchell Owen (7 off 6). Texas’ bowlers kept things tight—Nandre Burger picked up 2/12 in 1 over, Noor Ahmad grabbed 1/14, and Akeal Hosein contributed with 1/18 from 2 overs.
