In the last edition (MLC 2024), New York finished in the fourth place in the points table, but were eliminated from the Eliminator by the third-placed Texas Super Kings, who were later eliminated by San Francisco Unicorns in the Challenger.
Texas Super Kings also finished in third place, as well as they were eliminated from the Challenger by MI New York.
In their four meetings, Texas Super Kings won three times and MI New York won once.

Nicholas Pooran is set to lead MI New York in the third edition of the MLC, while Faf du Plessis continues to lead his MLC team Texas Super Kings. MI New York will miss Afghan players Rashid Khan and Azmatullah Omarzai in this tournament.
