Mohammed Siraj has been a massive fan of the renowned footballer, Cristiano Ronaldo, over the years, and he has shown it on several occasions with the famous ‘SIUU’ celebration. He continues to walk in the same route after Ronaldo’s superb performance in the ongoing FIFA World Cup 2026.

In the past, whenever Siraj has shown the famous SIUU celebration, while playing for the Indian side, when he took the final wicket of Gus Atkinson during the fifth and final Test in 2025 at the Kennington Oval in South London, or when he played for the Gujarat Titans (GT) during the recently finished Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026

What Siraj reacted to about Ronaldo's Brace Against Uzbekistan

Ronaldo scored a brace in Portugal’s 5-0 victory over Uzbekistan during the 2026 FIFA World Cup Group K match. With those two goals, CR7 became the first player in history to score in six different World Cup events. He opened the scoring and netted his second in the 39th minute of the game.

Ronaldo was also involved in Portugal’s fourth goal as his near-post flick from a corner resulted in an own goal by the opposing side. There was huge pressure on the Portugal captain after he couldn’t score a single goal in their first game against the DR Congo.

Siraj posted a picture of Ronaldo after the second game of the side in the FIFA World Cup 2026 with two footballs and a crown. This suggests the goals he hit, along with calling the veteran a King. It’s worth mentioning that CR7 is also the favourite sports person of Virat Kohli, given how he displayed strong mental strength at this age despite getting criticized on many occasions.

Inside Siraj's long-standing CR7 obsession — From the "Siu" celebration to his phone wallpaper

Siraj is a huge fan of Ronaldo. During the fifth Test of the England series in 2025, he spoke about keeping the picture of Ronaldo on his phone wallpaper, after downloading it from Google, which gave him self-belief.

“I usually wake up at 8 am, but today I woke up at 6 am. I told myself I can do it today. I went on Google and searched for this image. I downloaded the image and made it the wallpaper. So, belief is very important.” The Indian pacer expressed in that press conference.

He will look to get refreshed ahead of the two-match Test series against Sri Lanka in August, having been ignored in India’s ODI and T20I squads for the England trip.
