Mohsin Naqvi leaves with Asia Cup 2025 trophy after India's refusal post victory against India in Asia Cup 2025 final
The interior minister of Pakistan, who is also the chairman of the PCB and the secretary of the ACC, has left with the trophy of the Asia Cup 2025 as India refused to collect the award post their victory against Pakistan.

The Indian team, led by Suryakumar Yadav, refused to collect the Asia Cup trophy, which was scheduled to be handed over by the president of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) and PCB chairman, Mohsin Naqvi, after their victory against Pakistan at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, winning the final of the tournament.
There was a standoff between the Indian side, which refused to collect the trophy from Naqvi, who refused to budge on the position to hand over the trophy to the winning side, as it was taken off the ground between the presentations.
“This is one thing which I have never seen since I started playing cricket, since I have started following cricket, that a champion team is denied a trophy. That too is a hard-earned one; it's not like we got it easily. It was a hard-earned tournament. We were here since the 4th, played two back-to-back good games.” Suryakumar Yadav expressed during the post-match press conference.

“Getting into this team after winning the World Cup wasn't easy for any opener. But if you see, we had a plan that we wanted to play a game, you know, that we have to show intent from the first ball. So that was my plan, I worked really hard on that.” Abhishek Sharma concluded.
