In a recent investigation operated by Dainik Bhaskar, multiple shocking claims emerged. It would be better to see revelations rather than claims, as the speakers were all very close to the cricket field, and they knew how a selection process worked. The spycam operation was conducted to find out whether money transactions were involved in selection.

The report was absolutely shocking. They interacted with various eminent coaches, including Rohit Sharma's childhood cricket coach, Dinesh Lad. He also claimed that in Mumbai, money played a huge role behind a cricketer's selection in local tournaments. Lad claimed that even Rohit Sharma had to face such a situation during his age group cricket.

Recalling an incident from the Kalpesh Koli tournament, when Sharma was an under-16 cricketer, he was not selected for the team, despite having enough talent to represent the tournament. Taking one step further, Lad said that if someone dared to raise a voice against the system, then it could cost the player's career.

Rohit Sharma's coach revealed the truth!

"The Kalpesh Koli tournament is held in Mumbai for Under-16 selection. Rohit Sharma was also selected for this tournament from the Borivali team, but the team coach didn't play Rohit in a single match to accommodate his preferred player," Dinesh Lad said.

"This shattered Rohit's dream of being selected for the Under-16 team. Luck was on Rohit's side. That same year, the BCCI moved this tournament from Under-16 to Under-17, giving Rohit Sharma another year's opportunity. He was honored with the Best Player award. Money also plays a role in selection in Mumbai, but no one can raise their voice; if they do, consider the player's career over. Club members have a deal with the selectors," he further claimed.
