Captain of Team India ODI setup Rohit Sharma finally revealed how he proposed to Ritika Sajdeh, his wife. During a conversation with Harbhajan Singh and his wife, Geeta Basra Singh, on the YouTube channel 'Who’s The Boss?', Sharma recalled the moment when he proposed to Ritika.
According to Rohit, his way to propose to her was pretty romantic. He took Ritika to the ground where he used to play cricket in his childhood days. After finishing the food Ritika brought from her home, Rohit told her that they now have some ice cream. It was the masterstroke from Sharma. They took the car and drove a long way. By the time it was dark. And Ritika was clueless. She even asked Rohit about the ice cream.
The plan was already set. Rohit parked the car in the middle of the ground and then proposed to his lady love. Sharma's friends were there to capture the once-in-a-lifetime moment.

Rohit went on his knees to propose Ritika
"My proposal was quite romantic. I took her to the place where I started playing cricket. We were here only (somewhere along Marine Drive, apparently). She had brought food from home. We ate it. So, I was just sitting. Then I told her, Let’s go out to eat ice cream; I’m bored. Then we took the car out, and we left. We left from Marine Drive and crossed Haji Ali, Worli. So, she asked, Where is the ice cream shop? She does not know anything after Bandra. I told her there's a good one in Borivali, where I live. You’ve never come, so let me show you," Rohit said this during the YouTube conversation.
"It was a ground, and it was pitch dark, and she didn’t realize it was a ground. Then I had already told my friend to set up something there at the ground and just be there to capture the moment. We parked the car. Then I went on my knees in the middle of the pitch. Then, I proposed to her."
