New Zealand reveal split squads for five-match ODI series against India- Know all details
New Zealand reveal split squads for the five-match ODI series against India. Know all the details, including the squads, key players, schedule and when the five ODIs take place

New Zealand have recalled Lockie Ferguson and Finn Allen for their ODI series against India, while Rachin Ravindra, who will miss the T20I series against the same opponent, has returned from injury for the 50-over games. He won’t be part of the 20-over series because of the shoulder injury that he picked up during a promo shoot last month.
The series will be a mouth-watering contest between the two sides, who are celebrating 100 years of cricket between them. The Blackcaps will be eager to show their dominance at home against the strong blue brigade.
New Zealand’s squads: Who is in the split teams for the India ODI series?
The NZ selectors have named a split squad for the five games due to some of the players heading to Wellington, where the opening Test of the series will be played. That has expanded the squad to 21 players for the series.
“Zak Foulkes (hip flexor), Will O'Rourke (calf), and Ben Sears (ankle) were not considered for selection as they rehabilitate their respective injuries. Head coach Rob Walter will be joined by bowling coach Jacob Oram, and departing batting coach Luke Ronchi on his final New Zealand assignment before assuming his role as head coach of the Melbourne Renegades in the men's Australian Big Bash League.” The NZC released the statement.
Allen and Lockie Ferguson last played their ODIs in late 2023, while the former was not even part of the ODI World Cup 2023. The two newly contracted players, Nick Kelly and Matt Fisher, have been included in the side.

“First and foremost, this is a huge series for us, playing in front of our fans in full stadiums against a formidable Indian side. With the ODI World Cup just one year away, it's important for us to also view these matches as valuable preparation for that event.” Head coach Rob Walter said.
