Watch: Nitish Rana run out for duck by Jasprit Bumrah’s direct hit in DC vs MI IPL 2026 clash
A superb throw while being in his run-up, Jasprit Bumrah sent back Nitish Rana, who found himself back into the hut by an unfortunate dismissal during the IPL 2026 clash against the Mumbai Indians.

When the Mumbai Indians posted a decent score of 162 runs for the loss of six wickets in their allotted 20 overs during their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 clash against the Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, their veteran opener and former captain, Rohit Sharma, felt that it would be a good score if they started well.
For the Capitals, their problem in the previous game against the Lucknow Super Giants was losing wickets in clusters inside the powerplay, and they did that again in this clash to find themselves under pressure in the low-scoring chase.
Jasprit Bumrah’s brilliant throw catches Nitish Rana short
Jasprit Bumrah was given the ball on the second ball of the defense by the stand-in captain, Suryakumar Yadav, as their designated leader, Hardik Pandya, was out of the contest with injury. Bumrah was thumped for a drive by Pathum Nissanka for a boundary.

But on the fourth ball of the over, Bumrah displayed some fantastic fielding performance to send back Nitish Rana for a three-ball duck. It was a slower ball around the off stump as the southpaw dropped it in front of mid-wicket. He set off, and so did his partner.
It was too late for them to avoid the single as Pathum was a long way down the surface, before Bumrah moved to his left, collected the ball, and threw it to the stumps at the bowler’s end to dismiss the batter.
Early breakthrough puts DC under pressure against MI
Apart from the dismissal of Nitish Rana, Delhi also lost KL Rahul, unfortunately, as the right-handed batter got an outside edge into the leg side on the first over against Deepak Chahar. But the 66-run stand between Nissanka and Sameer Rizvi brought them back into the clash.

The former returned for his 44 runs in 30 balls with the help of six boundaries and one six, while Sameer completed his half-century in just 30 balls and nearly killed the chase in that position.
Brief Scores: DC 127/3 (Sameer Rizvi 77*, Deepak Chahar 1/20) vs MI 162/6 (Suryakumar Yadav 51, Mukesh Kumar 2/26)
