No Bangladesh in T20 World Cup 2026? Manoj Tiwary drops bombshell statement
The former batter of the Indian cricket team and the Bengal side, Manoj Tiwary, has dropped a bombshell statment of exlusing Bangladesh in the 2026 season of the T20 World Cup.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB)has refused to send their team to India for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2026 as they have written two letters to the ICC for relocation of the venues to Sri Lanka, who are the co-hosts of the competition in February-March. The interim government of the country has made its stance clear.
Post that period, the former Indian batter and the Bengal captain, Manoj Tiwary, has made a strong statement, as during an exclusive interview on Sports Tak, Tiwary suggested that the ICC should think of omitting Bangladesh from the entire T20 World Cup 2026. That has been a bold statement from the veteran.

“If something wrong happens to our people, whether in Pakistan or any other country, we always stand up for them. What is the point of playing cricket in a country where our people are being brutally harmed? Why should we play cricket with them?” Manoj Tiwary expressed on Sports Tak.
Manoj Tiwary calls on Bangladesh’s exclusion from T20 World Cup 2026
Tiwary feels that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) must take the decision up to the ICC as the game must not be linked with politics. This issue began after the Indian board banned the left-arm Bangladesh pacer, Mustafizur Rahman, from the IPL 2026.
“The BCCI should take this up with the ICC. The current ICC chairman, Jay Shah, is linked with our politics, so a firm decision should be taken. Bangladesh should be excluded from the T20 World Cup 2026. A country where Indians are attacked in this manner should not be allowed to participate.” Tiwary addressed the interaction.
Bangladesh is scheduled to play three of their games of the T20 World Cup 2026 at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata, which will be against West Indies, England, and Italy, before they make their way to the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai for the last group-stage fixture against Nepal. If they qualify, they will play more games in Indian venues during the world event.
