The New Zealand Women team is set to face the South Africa Women team in the fourth T20I of the five-match series on March 22 at the Sky Stadium in Wellington. New Zealand Women currently lead the series 2-1 and will try to seal the series by winning the next game, while the South Africa Women team has to win to stay in the tournament.

New Zealand Women made a strong comeback in the third match after losing the second game. They chased down a target of 150 runs comfortably and took the lead in the series. Although they lost early wickets, Amelia Kerr and Sophie Devine steadied the innings, while Maddy Green provided a solid finish. Devine remained unbeaten on 55, and Green added 34*, helping the team secure a six-wicket victory. With both bat and ball performing well, the hosts will aim to continue their momentum and close out the series.

South Africa Women, on the other hand, are under pressure after their recent defeat. In the last game, they were able to score 149 for 7, courtesy of Laura Wolvaardt's 37 and Kayla Reyneke's 34. But their bowlers couldn’t defend the total and New Zealand went after it with ease. With only two matches left, South Africa will need a strong all-round effort to level the series.

NZ-W vs SA-W: Pitch Report

Sky Stadium’s pitch is usually good for batting because of the drop-in surface, which stays fairly flat. Fast bowlers may get some help early on, especially in the first few overs. As the match goes on, the pitch becomes easier to bat on, giving players more time to play shots. Spinners can become useful later. The average first innings score in Wellington is around 165, so using the powerplay well is important.
