As soon as Yash Dayal delivered the very last ball of the night, the entire M Chinnaswamy stadium erupted in joy, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) fans were giving a loud cheer for their home team, Virat Kohli with the orange cap running wild— a crazy moment in the history of IPL, especially for the RCB supporters.

The boys in red and black did something which never happened before. With 6 wins in a string, RCB confirmed their playoffs spot of IPL 2024. The last team to get outclassed against an unstoppable looking RCB was their arch rivals Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

The match 68 of the IPL 2024 was between RCB and CSK, a never ending rivalry in the tournament. That season, RCB was in a destructive form with a peak Virat Kohli who won the Orange Cap for scoring the highest number of runs (741 in 15 matches) in the season.

In the match against CSK, Faf du Plessis led side put 218/5 in the scoreboard. The match was interrupted by rain, the surface got a little bit soggy to bat, but nothing proved enough to stop from winning their sixth straight game in a row. The opening duo of RCB, Virat and Plessis were main engineers to build the strong foundation, supported by Rajat Patidar's 41.

Chennai Super Kings tried their best to drive their innings at top gear, but the obstacles laid by Glenn Maxwell, Mohammed Siraj and other RCB bowlers couldn't make this possible and RCB reached the finish line safely, and won the match by 27 runs. Back-to-back six wins to confirm the round of four spots was a moment for RCB players and followers to celebrate.

Here's how RCB managed to win 6 matches in a row:
