Pakistan to overturn their forfeit stance vs India in T20 World Cup 2026: Reports
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has come into a talking position with the International Cricket Council (ICC) on their stance of forfeiting the clash against India in the 2026 season of the T20 World Cup.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) have closed their discussion on the decision regarding the game between India and Pakistan at the R. Premadasa Cricket Stadium in Colombo, which is scheduled to take place on February 15, as the reports have claimed. In all likelihood, the marquee clash is likely to get the green signal.
It has been reported that Imran Khawaja and Mubashir Usmani, two of the ICC representatives, reached Lahore on the morning of February 08. The reports have added that the dialogue has finally been held between the PCB and the ICC after the Pakistan government decided to boycott the T20 World Cup clash.

The PCB had invoked the Force Majeure, citing the government instructions not to take the field against the arch-rivals in the group stage of the event. The government didn’t give any explanation or justification for doing so. The cricketing body has asked to give a proper reason for getting out of the game, which could hit the BCCI financially.
Pakistan to play India in T20 World Cup? Report drops bombshell
Both India and Pakistan have started their campaign of the T20 WC with respective victories against the United States of America (USA) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai and the Sinhalese Sports Club in Colombo. India will take on Namibia for their second encounter at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, while Pakistan will be up against the USA at the RPS in Colombo.
Against Pakistan, the Dutch got rolled over for 147 runs in 19.5 overs, with their batters getting starts but not being able to convert them into big scores, which was an issue. Pakistan kept losing wickets regularly in the chase before Faheem Ashraf completed the chase with an unbeaten knock of 29 runs in 11 balls, thanks to two boundaries and three sixes.
Meanwhile, India were under pressure at the start against the USA before their captain, Suryakumar Yadav, clubbed a fine knock of 84 runs in 49 balls at a strike rate of 171.43, thanks to 10 boundaries and four sixes, while the USA got restricted to 132/8, despite three of their batters crossing the 30-run mark.
