The Gulf region’s biggest T20 cricket league is set for a grand launch as internationally acclaimed singer Ali Zafar headlines the opening ceremony of the DP World ILT20 Season 4. The much-anticipated tournament begins on Tuesday, December 2, coinciding with the UAE National Day (Eid-Al-Etihad), at the iconic Dubai International Stadium. Festivities are scheduled to begin at 6:00 pm local time, setting the tone for a memorable cricketing spectacle.

The glittering ceremony will be followed by the opening clash of the season at 6:45 pm, with defending champions Dubai Capitals taking on last year’s finalists, Desert Vipers. The matchup is a repeat of the dramatic Season 3 finale, where the Capitals clinched victory in the final over before a roaring 25,000-strong crowd. Stadium gates will open at 4:00 pm to allow fans to soak in the celebrations from the start.

Ticket sales for the opening day are already in high demand, with limited seats available across categories. Stand tickets begin at AED 20, while hospitality packages start at AED 325. Fans seeking a premium experience can also opt for the Sixes Lounge, priced at AED 395, which includes unlimited food and beverages. Tickets are available on tickets.ilt20.ae and at Virgin Megastores.

DP World ILT20 CEO David White expressed his excitement ahead of the big day. “We are delighted to announce a glittering opening ceremony to mark the start of the DP World International League T20 Season 4. It is an honour for the league and all our stakeholders to join the UAE in its National Day celebrations,” he said. White added that Ali Zafar’s performance will be the highlight of an evening designed to thrill fans worldwide.

Ali Zafar, too, shared his enthusiasm. “I’m really excited to return to Dubai for my performance at the ILT20 opening ceremony. Dubai has always welcomed me warmly, and performing on UAE National Day is a massive honour,” he said. Zafar also revealed that he will debut songs from his upcoming album Roshni during the ceremony.

The evening will conclude with a spectacular fireworks display themed around UAE National Day, promising fans an unforgettable start to a month-long cricket extravaganza.
