After the end of the third Test of the five-match series against England at Lord’s, during their nine-day break, the Indian players decided to meet the Manchester United players before their fourth Test at Old Trafford in Manchester. The goalkeeper of the side, Tom Heaton, has shared a few interactions he had with the wicket-keeper, Rishabh Pant.

Heaton addressed that he had learnt a few lessons from the Delhi keeper. On his words, it seemed like the most important aspect of keeping was to not drop the ball and keep it in the same grief. Along with Pant, he also met the Indian team and touched on enjoying the lessons from the top professionals.

‘Different ball, same brief - don’t drop anything. Brilliant to meet @risabhpant and the rest of the @indiancricketteam yesterday. Always enjoy learning from top professionals.’ Tom Heaton shared the post and few pictures with Pant on his Instagram account in the social media. It was a great session from the players, who enjoyed their time and kept themselves away from the pressure in the field.

Rishabh Pant has enjoyed his time in England during the series with 425 runs in six innings at an average of over 70, thanks to his century during the opening fixture of the series at Leeds in Headingley. The left-handed batter used his power and skills, along with aggression and consistency, to take advantage.

However, it wasn’t an easy week for the keeper, Pant, who couldn’t spend time in the field. He got hit on his finger with a wobbling seaming delivery from Jasprit Bumrah and couldn’t keep wickets for the remainder of the game. Dhruv Jurel replaced him in that position. However, it was revealed by the reports that he would be fully fit before the next game in Manchester.

Pant will be a vital member on the side, especially in taking on the pacers and spinners, whenever they are under immense pressure in the contest. With his attacking knocks, he could easily swing the game in their favor in a span of just a few overs.
