Watch: Prabhsimran Singh’s run-out on 43 boosts CSK in IPL 2026 clash vs PBKS
Sarfaraz Khan's excellent throw sent back Prabhsimran Singh via an unfortunate run-out for 43 runs in 34 balls during the IPL 2026 clash between the Chennai Super Kings and the Punjab Kings.

Prabhsimran Singh and Priyansh Arya offered the Punjab Kings one of the firing starts in their chase of 210 runs during their second encounter of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), who were clinical for most phases in the batting department.
Post the dismissal of Arya, Punjab was operated by Prabhsimran Singh, who was smashing the two spinners of CSK, Noor Ahmed and Rahul Chahar, around the park to settle the nerves of the camp and kept the scorecard ticking. And the home side needed to send back the opener badly.
Prabhsimran Singh’s dismissal shifts momentum in CSK’s favour
It was the fifth delivery of the ninth over during the second innings when Noor Ahmed’s half-volley was tickled into the leg side by Prabhsimran, who geared up for the single. With no fielder being present in that area inside the 30-yard circle, the leg spinner decided to run all the way to stop the ball.
Noor was not able to hold the ball initially, and he fumbled at that moment. Prabhsimran found it a good chance to come back for the second run and reached the middle of the surface. He didn’t notice Sarfaraz Khan, who charged onto the ball and threw it to the bowler’s end.

Cooper Connolly also made his way back into the hut for 36 runs in 22 balls, with the help of six boundaries.
However, the game was still on the court of Punjab, which has a massive batting line-up, including Shashank Singh, Marco Jansen, Marcus Stoins, and Nehal Wadhera.
Brief Scores: CSK 209/5 (Ayush Mhatre 73, Shivam Dube 45, Vijaykumar Vyshak 2/38) vs PBKS 177/3 (Shreyas Iyer 42, Anshul Kamboj 1/22)
