Watch: Prasidh Krishna’s nervy final over seals one-run win for GT against DC in IPL 2026
Prasidh Krishna delivered a breathtaking last over under pressure against Delhi Capitals to earn the victory for Gujarat Titans in the Indian Premier League 2026.

Even after the end of the first week of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, there was not the same craze that the competition is known for. But the clash between the Delhi Capitals (DC) and the Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. Heading into the last two balls of the clash, many predicted that Delhi would get themselves over the line.
The home captain, Axar Patel, won the toss and opted to field first on a surface which they thought would get better in the second innings for the chase. The visitors batted well to cross the 200-run mark and created pressure on the hosts with regular wickets in the backend of the game.
Prasidh Krishna holds nerve in thrilling last over
Shubman Gill threw the ball to Prasidh Krishna in the last over when the two batters, David Miller and Vipraj Nigam, had the task of chasing 13 runs. On the first ball of the over, Nigam executed against the poor planning of Gujarat as he stayed leg side and lofted the full delivery over wide mid-off for a boundary.
However, the Karnataka pacer made a strong comeback with the wicket of Nigam, who made room and reached to the flat-batted hit and miscued it straight up. Gill backtracked near mid-off before hanging on to the catch safely.

The new batter, Kuldeep Yadav, did the smart job of giving the strike back to Miller, who lofted through the line and sent the lanky bowler all the way in the long-off region for a massive six. The Protea batter didn’t take the single off the penultimate ball before being dismissed on run-out during the last ball.
That provided the Titans a nervy one-run victory as they finally opened their account.
GT edge past DC in nail-biting one-run finish
When Delhi needed 36 runs off 12 balls, it was thought to be a tough chase for the Capitals. But Miller, who returned after being retired out earlier due to injury, smashed Mohammad Siraj for two sixes and as many boundaries as they collected 23 runs to decrease the pressure massively.

But Gujarat held their nerve in the last two balls. Miller perhaps made the mistake by dodging the penultimate ball, as a single could have killed the chance of a defeat and pushed them to a tied game. From that position, it could have been anything.
Brief Scores: GT 210/4 (Shubman Gill 70, Mukesh Kumar 2/55) beat Delhi Capitals 209/8 (KL Rahul 92, Rashid Khan 3/17) by 1-run.
