Shaw Set to Play IPL 2026 for Delhi Capitals

Meanwhile, Prithvi Shaw will now prepare for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League. He will play for Delhi Capitals, who bought him for Rs 75 lakh in the auction. However, it is still unclear whether he will be part of the playing XI this season.

Shaw made his IPL debut in 2018 and has played only for Delhi Capitals in the tournament. In 79 matches, he has scored 1,892 runs at an average of almost 24 and a strike rate of 147.46. He also has 14 half-centuries to his name. Shaw went unsold in IPL 2025 due to poor form. However, after showing good form in domestic cricket for the Maharashtra cricket team, he earned another IPL contract and will look to perform well for his team.
