A standout partnership between Daryl Mitchell and Sikandar Raza limited Multan Sultans (MS) bowlers and gifted a win to Lahore Qalandars (LAH) by 5 wickets. The match was neck-and-neck at the initial stage, later separated by an 89-run partnership between two foreign batters. The second innings was mostly dominated by the batters; the bowlers of the Multan Sultans' could do very little to protect 185.
Lahore Qalandars won the toss and decided to bat in the second innings at the Gaddafi Stadium. Mohammad Rizwan started well for Multan Sultans and remained undefeated for 76 off 48 balls. Kamran Ghulam's well-played 52* innings helped Kings to reach 185 for only 3 wickets in 20 overs, but that would not be possible without Yasir Khan's important 24-run contribution.
The surface of the Gaddafi Cricket Stadium was smooth enough to bat. Like the first innings, the second innings is also in favor of the batting side. Daryl Mitchell and Sikandar Raza, two experienced international batters, welcomed the condition with both arms and drove their innings through their desired path.

Mohammad Rizwan (Multan Sultans captain): "150-160 was a winning score on this ground. Dropping catches has been a major issue, and even defending 250 wouldn't be enough if we continue to do so. Hasnain and Josh Little gave us a good start with the new ball. We struggled in the death and middle overs."
Saheen Afridi (Lahore Qalandars captain): "The wicket looked like a seaming deck, but after 2-3 overs it started to come onto the bat nicely. Tom Curran bowls really well. We are looking to improve on every occasion, and we need to improve with both bat and ball going ahead in the tournament."
