Quetta Gladiators (QUE) won by 109 runs against Islamabad United (ISL) on game 26 of PSL 10. United suffered their 4th defeat in a row, and Quetta Gladiators cemented their position at the top of the points table with 13 points in 9 games, undefeated for the last 5 matches. QG batter Rilee Rossouw, with his 104 runs, won the man of the match award. Hassan Nawaz was another centurion for Gladiators with an unbeaten 100-run knock.
Islamabad United won the toss and decided to bowl first in the Rawalpindi cricket stadium, which proved to be a wrong decision when QG batters ignited one after another with boundaries and over-boundaries for fun. Nawaz and Rossouw were toying with the opponent team bowlers. Salman Ali Agha, Islamabad United skipper, used 7 different bowlers to create a barrage to prevent flowing runs. Agha's all experiments went in vain as soon as Quetta Gladiators reached 263/3 in 20 overs.
Like bowling, Islamabad United's batting also looked clueless. They were unable to find any strong partnership to chase such a massive total. Their number 9 batter, Imad Wasim, was the best performer with the bat, with 56. On the other hand, Quetta Gladiators' Mohammad Amir claimed 3 wickets in exchange for 6 runs in 2 overs.
