The 59th match of IPL 2025 was played between Rajasthan Royals and Punjab Kings at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. In this match, Punjab Kings defeated Rajasthan Royals by 10 runs and registered a spectacular win. And with this, the total points of Punjab Kings team have become 17. In this match, Punjab Kings had set a target of 220 runs in front of Rajasthan Royals. In response, Rajasthan Royals team could only score 209 runs for the loss of 7 wickets.
Talking about this match, Punjab Kings won the toss and decided to bat first. Punjab Kings team did not have a great start and opener Priyansh Arya was dismissed by Tushar Pandey after scoring nine runs in seven balls. After this, Mitch Owen, who came to bat at number three, also returned to the pavilion without opening the account. Prabhsimran Singh played an innings of 21 runs in 10 balls in this match. Whereas Shreyas Iyer could score only 30 runs in 25 balls. But the real story happened during the batting of Nehal Vadera and Shashank Singh. Because both the players made a great partnership of 58 runs in 33 balls in this match for the fifth wicket. After that there was a partnership of 60 runs in 24 balls between Shashank Singh and Azmatullah Omarzai.
Talking about Punjab Kings, in this match Nehal Vadera played an innings of 70 runs in just 37 balls with the help of five fours and five sixes. Whereas Shashank Singh scored 59 runs in 30 balls with the help of five fours and three sixes. Tushar Deshpande got two successes in this match.
Chasing the target of 220 runs, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Suryavanshi together gave Rajasthan Royals a stormy start of 76 runs in 4.4 overs. Then Vaibhav got out after scoring 40 runs in 15 balls with four fours and four sixes. After this, Yashasvi also scored 50 runs in 25 balls with nine fours and a six. But apart from these two, Sanju Samson (20) and Riyan Parag (13) could not do anything special. Rajasthan had lost four wickets for 144 runs and needed 55 runs in the last four overs i.e. 24 balls. During this, Dhruv Jurel took charge and was leading the team to victory by hitting a fifty.
Rajasthan needed 22 runs in the last over. While in the 19th over, Arshdeep Singh gave only six runs and made the match again for Punjab. Dhruv Jurel, who scored 52 runs in 29 balls, could not do anything in the end and got out on the third ball. This ended his innings of 53 runs with three fours and four sixes in 31 balls. After this, Marco Jansen also dismissed Hasranga on the fourth ball. Due to which Rajasthan team could score only 209 runs in 20 overs and lost by 10 runs. Harpreet Brar turned the tables by taking three wickets for Punjab and apart from him, Azmatullah Omarzai also took two wickets.
